In order to apply for credit on your behalf, it will be necessary for HSL Finance and its partner lenders to make reference to the credit files held by national credit reference agencies about you. To see the information held about you by these agencies, you can apply in writing to the following companies (there may be a charge for this service):

Borrowers Declaration
I/we declare that the statements and particulars in this application are true to the best of my/our knowledge and belief and shall form part of any subsequent agreement. I/we agree that such information may be relied upon by all third parties to whom you approach in the same manner as if such third parties had received the information directly.   
I/we confirm that I/we have the consent of any third party whose details I/we may disclose to HSL Finance ("you") to disclose such details and to authorise you and the third parties referred to in the paragraph below, to process such details for assessing my/our application and administering and enforcing any subsequent loan which may be granted to me/us.
I/we agree that you and any lender resulting from this application (the "lender") shall be entitled to use and process by any medium the information given by me/us in this application form and any other information about me/us which may be acquired during the lifetime of my loan ("the data") for the following processes:

1. To provide the data to and search the files of one or more credit reference or fraud prevention agencies whether before or during the lifetime of any loan granted to me/us by the lender, who will keep a record of such search to confirm the data and for the purposes of credit assessment or account administration. I/we understand that you and/or the lender will record false or inaccurate information if this is given by me/us and fraud us suspected.

2. To disclose that data to credit reference agencies when requested by them for consideration of any future applications for finance made by me or members of my household/family or for fraud prevention and/or tracing debtors (the debtors may also disclose the data to other lender for these purposes).

3. To disclose the data to any other company within the lender's group of companies and/or to any third parties (for example, debt counsellors and insurers) at any time for the purpose of assessing my/our application and administering and enforcing any subsequent loan whether during the lifetime of any loan granted pursuant to such application.

4. To disclose the data to any third party who replace or may replace my/our lender.

5. You or any other organisation may use and search the records of credit reference and fraud agencies to check my/our identity to prevent money laundering even if I/we have furnished you with satisfactory proof of identity.

Personal Details and Data Privacy
The personal details which you submit to us (personal data) are held by HSL Finance and its partner lenders for their own use. It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal data is accurate and to inform us of any changes that need to be made. HSL Finance may use the personal data for the purposes they have described above. By submitting your personal data you consent to it being processed by HSL Finance and its partner lenders.
Proof of identity will be required in all circumstances where an application for credit is accepted by one or more of our lenders and taken up by you. Such proof of identity will be specified by the lender and any offer of credit will be dependant on satisfactory provision of these proofs. Failure to provide the requested proofs of identity may result in the withdrawal of any offer of credit.
We may use the Data to send you information about our other products and services or products and services of other selected companies. Please advise us if you do not wish to receive such information.

Applications made by Third Party introducers
If you are acting as an approved introducer of customers to HSL Finance, you must first make your customer/s aware of the above terms and conditions and gain their consent to make the application and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions, prior to making an application for credit on their behalf. By ticking the box you warrant that you will be responsible for proving you have gained the consent of the customer and for the accuracy of your representation of the information they have provided to you.
